" Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27
Have you ever known the peace of the world dear readers? In the world there has never been real peace. If you want to talk about world conflicts and wars and rumors of wars, then allow me to say that there has never ever been peace in this world.
When peace comes to warring countries, war breaks out in another part of the world. The countries that sign peace treaties, break them at the least offense.
Ask any American Indian if their treaties were ever broken. No dear readers, the world offers no real lasting peace.
There is no peace in your State nor in your County nor in your City. War is everywhere in one way or another in this world of ours.
Hopefully there is peace in your family, with your relatives and with your friends. And prayerfully dear readers there is peace in your heart and in your spirit and soul. For there is where the peace of Christ resides, in you.
Now understand this dear readers, this are not my words, these are the words of Jesus Christ the very Son of our Living God and He is telling us again today "Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Can I ask you, how do you control your heart from being troubled? How do you keep you heart from being afraid? The key is in your brain. You do not let your heart be troubled nor afraid by your thoughts of faith. "( this is Christ speaking folks )
My peace I LEAVE with you, My peace I GIVE to you."
Dear readers, He left us His peace, He gave us His peace. So why are we troubled? Why are we disobedient to His command?
God told Moses to speak to the rock but Moses hit the rock, Moses disobeyed his Lord. What makes us different that we think we can overlook a command like this one from the beautiful lips of our Lord and Savior commanding us not to be troubled nor afraid?
Down the line in His ministry He gives us a lot of words of wisdom on how to deal with life and the world. But the bottom line is this, if we are His sheep, the sheep of His pasture.
If we are in His hands all the time as we say we are. If we read the wonderful promises in the word every day. Words like "He is my Rock." "In Him will I trust" "I Him I will dwell in safety." We say this words everyday do we not?
And so I ask you today, Are you being disobedient to the Lord? Are you so worried that you forget Him in you concern?
Shape up Christian! Have faith do not be troubled nor afraid of tomorrow, it will take care of itself.
Peace he left you.
Help us Lord to believe that You are our Light and our hope and our peace in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Love you all,
Daniel Leal |
